On September 7, at the opening of the Almaz Digital technology park, Ivan Demchenko, Novostal-M Holding's owner and the CEO, told about the investment project at the Balakovo SF site

This project's objective will include the construction of a universal rail-and-structural steel mill complex with an annual capacity of 1.2 million tons. The new production will increase the production of Russian rolled large structural profiles and rails by almost 30%, and it will also result is 3,000 new jobs.

The demonstration of the investment project took place in the presence of the M. V. Mishustin, Chairman of the Government, D. V. Manturov, Minister of Industry&Trade, V. V. Volodin, Chairman of the State Duma, and V. V. Radaev, Governor of the Saratov region.
